- I can’t even watch the Sabres right now. I am feeling very Dennis Green about them. It is hard to shocked about their 1-4-1 start. The team is very similar to the one that flamed out against the Bruins last season. I fear for Lindy Ruff’s job. It is not fair, but he has lasted longer than most NHL bosses. His run is especially impressive given that he has never won it all. Numerous head coaches with rings and names on the Cup have been dropped during Lindy’s tenure.
- Shame on the Sabres fans who are calling for his head. Lindy has given us the most successful run in the history of the Organization. I remember all too well the dark days of Ted Sator and Rick Dudley. How quickly some fans forget, those were dark days.
- I thought Texas was done after Game 1′s meltdown. So did the Chowd; thankfully it looks like we were both wrong.
- That is not to say that I think Texas will take the series. Game 1 still hurts their chances, they had a chance for a win with Sabathia as the starter for the Yanks. I am impressed with how they responded to the loss. They made a huge statement with the double steal of 2nd and home in the 1st inning.
- Lost somewhat in the Yankees comeback is a comeback of another kind. Sabathia looks like the guy who cost my Tribe the 2007 ALCS. He cannot find the zone and is giving up way too many 2 strike hits for a guy with his stuff.
- I guess Halladay is human after all. Cody Ross goes yard on him twice? Really?
- It feels very good to not have another Bills massacre hanging over my head. I have never been a fan of bye weeks, but I really need one this year.
